Position: Development and Grant Management
Part-time - not to exceed 25 hour a week
Position Location: Winston Salem, NC - Hybrid position
Term: July 1, 2025- June 30, 2026
Organization Description:
Twin City Harm Reduction Collective seeks to improve the health and lives, and advocate for the rights of people who use drugs in Forsyth County and surrounding areas. We are Forsyth County’s only Harm Reduction and Syringe Service Program (SSP), serving over 2,000 unique individuals each year.
Position Description:
The development and grant manager position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of TCHRC by providing financial and grant management. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to support the organization’s mission and operations effectively. While most work will be able to be done remotely, some on site days may be required.
PLEASE NOTE: While there is the possibility for continued employment after one year, this position is paid for by grant funding and employment is not guaranteed after the grant period ends on June 30, 2026.
Job Duties:
Financial Management
– Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate financial and progress reports to
funders in a timely manner.
– Financial Management: Support the ED in the organization’s transition to stronger
financial and operational processes.
– Fund Tracking: Monitor grant expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets and funder
requirements.
– Research: Identify and research new funding opportunities and partnerships to support program growth and sustainability.
– Grant Applications: Assist in the preparation of grant application packages by collecting
supporting documents and ensuring completeness.
Administrative Support
– Financial Reporting: Create and maintain financial reports for internal and external
stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
– Data Entry: Input financial and programmatic data into tracking systems or databases.
– Document Management: Organize and maintain digital and physical records, including
monthly bills, expenditures, and other critical documents.
Qualifications
– Experience in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. (Can
demonstrate any combination of schooling and job experience)
– Previous experience in grant management, financial oversight, or operational roles.
– Proficiency in Word and Google Sheets. Experience
with Quickbooks preferred.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with
discretion.
– Ability to think creatively and support new projects in operating smoothly and
efficiently.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Familiarity with nonprofit operations and funding processes is a plus.
– Is aligned with the mission of TCHRC, and supports Harm Reduction as a philosophy.
Salary:
$30,000 per year
